Start Respecting yourself and Treating yourself Right

Life Updates

In previous blog posts, I shared how the Full Moon in Leo felt like a purge – it was very heavy and intense. Did you feel the energy?

Thankfully, we’re now done with that Full Moon energy. We’re also ready for a new month with new beginnings. How do you feel about the new year so far?

I personally feel like 2023 was an end to a karmic cycle that lasted so many decades for some of us. Don’t ask me why. I know that there was some bad karma in the past few decades.

It’s Wellness Wednesday, and so it’s time for another reminder to prioritize yourself and your health and well-being. Did you read last week’s Wellness Wednesday blog post?

In that blog post, I share simple and practical tips for how I like to start my days. Creating a morning ritual is so important for staying positive and emotionally healthy.

Why I Love Cooking

While staying at a hotel in a small coastal town in Southern Italy, I met a group of older British people attending a wedding there.

We spent a lot of time hanging out together. The man I first met and was there with his wife was friendly and chatty. When I shared that I like to cook at home, he asked me: “You cook for yourself?”

Of course, I replied that I did. But I didn’t feel the need to explain to him why and the full story behind this.

So, let me share that reasoning with you because everything is connected to self-worth and self-respect.

First of all, cooking is a hobby that I truly enjoy. Being a real foodie, cooking brings me so much joy and happiness. I love trying out new recipes or simply practising the same old ones to get better at making them.

Respecting Yourself

I believe you have to start respecting yourself and treating yourself right to attract someone who can reciprocate that same level of respect.

Trust me, I used to be the girl who would write in her soulmate wish list that she wants a man who can cook for her. Well, yes, that’s still something that I would appreciate, but I also love cooking for myself.

With the law of attraction, what you need to do is go over the list and see that you have all the traits that you’re asking for in a life partner. I share this process in this blog post.

So if cooking is something that you truly value in a relationship, why not start cooking for yourself first?

At first, it might be challenging. But with practice, you’ll get better at it and will start to really enjoy the process.

Respecting yourself by nourishing your body and planning your meals is also directly linked to self-worth and attracting people who respect you.

More of these simple yet powerful tips are shared in my ebook. Sign up to the blog for updates on when the book is out.

Let me know if you have a specific topic that you want me to discuss in a future Wellness Wednesday blog post.

Here are some snapshots from two gluten-free pasta dishes that I have made lately.
