I don’t know about you, but I have spent all summer in Dubai heat because my passport was due for renewal in mid December. It’s September twenty five and it’s still hot and humid in this region! That’s my bad news…my good news is that I finally managed to renew my passport (for another ten years) so I can now travel and write interesting posts 🙂
If you live in bustling Dubai, you’ll surely understand what kind of weather I’m complaining about. Despite being born and raised in the Gulf region and living here for most of my life, I still wasn’t happy to hang around here all summer! So much so that I’ve decided to go away from June throughout the end of September next year. Don’t ask where my destination will be (probably some Indian Ocean island or beach haven). All I know is that I don’t want to be here next summer and that’s final words from the Diva.
This post is just another spa review, but stay tuned because there’s a trip planned for October and it will be an exciting couple of posts once I’m back and in the writing mood 🙂 you can always follow my random posts on both Twitter and Instagram. Just search for me by my real name: NadaAlGhowainim
For anyone living in the city, escaping to The Palm Jumeirah is always a highly rewarding experience. Even more so when that trip involves a spa visit in an ocean-view setting.
I must admit that the highlight of the Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa is the tranquil beachside setting and exclusive feel that hotel offers.
So Spa at Sofitel Dubai The Palm is very spacious with great facilities and multiple pools. Sadly, I wasn’t able to use the spa facilities before my treatment as I arrived just in time for my appointment. But I would highly recommend that you take time to make the most of the spa pools (indoor and outdoor) and upscale facilities before your treatment. Preferably, by dedicating a full day for the spa.
Your rejuvenating spa day can only be followed by a delicious snack (or meal) at Maui Beach Bar. The food quality was excellent, service friendly and you simply can’t go wrong with a beachfront restaurant/bar.
I wanted to get a body scrub this time, which was teamed with a relaxing full body massage. The coconut and sugar body scrub is the one to pick for a natural yet effective exfoliating treatment. Grace – my therapist did a professional, stress-relieving massage that left me rejuvenated and energized.
If you plan to visit So Spa at Sofitel Dubai The Palm, make sure to spend a full day at the spacious spa and relaxing resort. Stop by Maui Beach Bar for a light meal and some downtime with peaceful ocean views.
