Mercury Retrograde Update
How are you feeling? I can tell you with utmost conviction that this has been the most intense and powerful Mercury Retrograde ever. We’re in the post-shadow phase until September 11 and I’m still having vivid dreams about people from the past. And of course feeling all sorts of weird emotions.
I just want this last phase to end so I can go back to feeling normal again.
Bangkok Trip
I started writing about my first summer 2024 trip and you can read the first story here. I was in Bali for a month and then I went to Bangkok after getting back to Dubai for two weeks.
Although my Bangkok trip was so misaligned with my personality and soul essence, it helped me see my true self with so much clarity and I’m grateful for that realization.
I’ll be sharing some tips and stories from that trip while I write about my Bali trip. Then, I will dedicate lifestyle and travel blog posts about that trip once I’m done sharing about my Bali trip.
Trimurti Shrine – Bangkok’s Love Shrine
Because Bangkok is a huge city, figuring out where to go can be challenging without a guide or a friend. I found this to be so true when on my last night in town, I discovered that there’s a big park one BTS stop away from where I was staying! Someone who I met told me about the park and when I looked it up, it turned out that it was really close to where I was staying for the last eight days of my trip!
When something is meant to find you, nothing can get in its way. And that’s exactly how I discovered Trimurti Shrine. No, no one told me about it! Here’s the story.
My intuition led me to another Hindu shrine located under the Big C store in Ratchadamri Road. I passed by that shrine every time I went to exchange money at SuperRich Ratchadamri (the best place to exchange money in Bangkok).
That shrine had a statue of a couple and I felt called to go there with an offering of pink roses and incense sticks to pray for a relationship. I went there to pray twice and it wasn’t on the first time that I passed by the shrine. I believe it was on the second time that I passed by. Everything about that shrine was welcoming and it felt like I was in the right place.
After visiting that shrine, I wanted to learn more about it, so I did an online search. Somehow, I came across an article about Trimurti Shrine (or maybe the Google maps listing first). That’s when I discovered that this is a shrine dedicated for the purpose of praying for love!
The article shared all the details including that Tuesdays and Thursdays are the best days for making a prayer and an offering. But by that time, I think I couldn’t make it for a Tuesday or a Thursday, so I went there on Wednesday, August 7. The next day, I had to check out of my hotel and go to the airport in the afternoon. So I was truly destined to visit this Shrine and pray for love before leaving the city! LOL
Now that I checked the date, I think I must have found out about the Shrine on Tuesday evening, because otherwise I could’ve gone there on Tuesday. Anyway, the place would be packed on those days, so I’m glad that I managed to make the prayer on a relatively quiet day!
When I got to the Shrine, the people from the nearby stalls were trying to get desperate, single folks to buy offerings from them. I followed my intuition and went to a stall where I got the basic ‘manifesting love’ offering bundle. The offering had red roses (I just read in the article that they should be nine roses), incense sticks and red candles.
I went to the front of the shrine, made a prayer and then I placed the incense sticks and candles in the right place and red roses in the water feature.
Detachment from the Outcome
A crazy thing happened right after I made the prayer at the famous Bangkok love Shrine. What I saw highlighted the main element of manifesting love: letting go and detaching from the outcome.
Since the Shrine is located in front of Central World shopping mall in Bangkok, I went into the mall to get bubble tea to celebrate my prayer for love ritual. While walking in the pedestrian bridge on top of the shrine, I stopped to have one last look at the people praying and to just take in the view from the top.
That’s when I saw a local guy whose job is to remove all the incense sticks that accumulated on the big holder and to throw them in the garbage. To be honest, I saw him do this earlier while I was praying at the shrine. But to see him do his main task right after I made my prayer for a soulmate wasn’t easy and I immediately spilled bubble tea out of my mouth when it happened! He also went on to remove the red bottles that are part of a bigger and more expensive ‘manifesting love’ bundle. I watched as he threw the water that was in these red bottles in the yard behind the shrine, or take some of it for his personal use.
The spiritual message was crystal clear: Detaching from the outcome is a major part of manifesting love. And I needed to lean into that energy and just let go of trying to control the process.
Did you visit Trimurti Shrine? If so, on which day? How did you feel about the experience? Did you manifest your person shortly after the prayer? What are your thoughts on this?
I’m going to leave you with my favorite pictures from the love Shrine prayer. And I wish you all the best in your love manifestation journey!
Love,
Leela
