Back to Blogging
I took a break from writing because I wanted to keep a low-profile when I travel for both safety and family reasons. It was the right thing to do and I will keep this habit for future trips.
So whenever I travel, I won’t be writing new blog posts or sharing on social media. I’m only active on Twitter anyway and I’m not so active there anymore (for family reasons).
Without getting into detail, I’ll just say that I have to keep a low profile and not share my travel dates or destination. I will only share the story after the trip has ended and I’m back in Dubai.
So today, I share with you the first story from my June trip to the magical island of Bali.
Where to Stay with Kids in Canggu
I was so grateful for staying at the newly opened Holiday Inn Resort Bali Canggu. The stay was perfect in every way. The hotel is located very close to the beach, the ocean view rooms are great, the breakfast was so good, everyone is super friendly and welcoming and they have an amazing kids’ club and kids’ pool!
I wrote about the inner child healing experience that I had in my previous Bali blog posts. You can read about those stories to understand why I stayed at a family-friendly hotel with a kids’ pool.
The hotel is also located on the main road in Canggu with all the cafes and restaurants. So you are covered from all aspects and there’s nothing that you’ll miss out on if you stay here.
The breakfast buffet was so good and the local Chef from Tabanan even customized the dishes for me. He was a very creative and talented head Chef. Every single breakfast dish was special and made with love. Don’t miss out on the Nasi Goreng and the noodle dish – so heavenly!
The truth is that I’m planning another trip to Bali for later this year and I’m struggling to find a hotel as good as the Holiday Inn Bali Resort Canggu with the same level and great reviews.
The housekeeping staff at the hotel create the most cute and meaningful towel shapes for the room bed! I’ll share more towel shapes and explain why they’re so creative in future posts.
Pererenan Coffee Shop
The Living Room cafe in neighboring Pererenan was an interesting find. I went there for coffee once and I loved the vintage vibe of the place. It’s a cozy, homely cafe with great coffee. They serve food too.
It’s located in a small side street and the Baristas are friendly and welcoming. Check them out here.
I thought of sharing the best tips from my recent Bali stay to make it easier for you to know where to go.
Bali is always a good idea and I would love for everyone to experience its beauty and magic.
I say this with a stronger conviction after a recent trip to Thailand left me sick with a cold (still recovering after a little over two weeks) and very frustrated. More about that trip in future posts.
For now, here are the pictures from my first Bali Travel Tuesday Blog Post for this summer!
Love,
Leela
