The Latest Manifestation Monday Story
If you missed the latest manifestation blog post, you can read it here. It’s a story inspired by a recent trip to Bangkok.
If you’re struggling with manifestation, that story could show you the reason that your desire hasn’t showed up yet. And it’s a reason that I’m guilty of doing too.
How I Manifested my Apartment
My favorite manifestation story has to be the one about my Dubai Marina apartment.
I think it’s because the process was so effortless and easy. It felt almost natural and smooth-sailing.
I used to live in the JLT area of Dubai for eight years. While I lived in JLT, I liked to shop for groceries at a store in the Dubai Marina area.
Although there was a branch of the same supermarket chain in my cluster of buildings in JLT, I preferred to shop at the one in the Marina because the produce was more fresh and there was more variety.
Every week, I walked for about 27 minutes (I just looked up the distance on Google Maps) to that store in the Marina for my weekly grocery shopping. Of course in between trips to the store in the Marina area, I would get some stuff from the store in the building next to mine in JLT.
I mainly liked to get the produce and other fresh food from the Marina store.
Another thing that I would do was to go for long walks in both JLT and the Marina. I remember walking all around the Marina area (especially in the evenings) and this was an ongoing activity throughout my eight years of living in JLT.
While walking in the Marina, I would look at the apartments with a Marina view and think to myself: “It would be so cool to live in one of these apartments.”
I thought it would be cool to live in the Marina but I wasn’t desperate or really wanting to live there!
It was more like: “I wonder what it would be like to live here. It seems cool.”
There was No Attachment to the Outcome
To help you understand the energy of manifestation that you need to embody, let me explain how I felt in those days.
Although I lived in JLT (the area across SZR from Dubai Marina), my lifestyle resembled that of someone who already lives in the Marina! LOL
I did my grocery shopping in the Marina, I had coffee at the Starbucks in the Marina and I went for long walks in the Marina as if it was my neighborhood.
That’s one reason why manifesting the Marina apartment was so natural and it didn’t feel like I was separate from that neighborhood.
The other major reason that helped my apartment manifest so fast (I had access to it a year before I moved in and it was a brand new building when I moved in) was the detachment from outcome.
This is the same lesson that I talk about in this blog post from my Bangkok trip.
Like I said, I wasn’t desperate to move to the Marina. I actually liked living in JLT (my old neighborhood isn’t that good nowadays though). I was totally at peace with my neighborhood.
There was no energy of wanting to move out of JLT. I wasn’t even looking for apartments or anything like that. I was content with my life and neighborhood. I wasn’t even thinking about moving out of JLT.
I was totally OK with staying in JLT and never leaving that hood. That’s how detached I was from the outcome of my apartment manifestation!
The interesting thing is that I now finally feel that way about manifesting a relationship!
So while this feeling came naturally for where I lived, it was the complete opposite feeling or energy for my relationship manifesting – until very recently.
Next Week’s Blog Post
Next week, I’ll explain the difference between manifesting from the energy of being versus the energy of wanting or waiting. This will be explained in the context of manifesting a relationship.
Let me know if you have any questions about today’s story.
Love,
Leela
