It was raining a lot in my last ten days in Malta. And I’m so glad that I didn’t visit any museums or exhibitions on the sunny days!
So when it was raining consistently one day, I decided to check out some museums. And by doing a simple online search, I discovered the Malta Postal Museum & Arts Hub.
This is the type of museum that I consider a hidden gem in Valletta. It’s set over four floors and it’s so rich in history and information. It’s also very colorful and aesthetically pleasing, so it makes you want to stay longer.
I personally spent around two hours there and it was still not enough! There’s so much information and cool things to see.
The museum is home to an extensive collection of postal artefacts and is housed in a converted Valletta home, which makes it so authentic and cozy.
If you want to learn about Malta’s postal history starting from the 16th century – with all the historic milestones – then this place is for you.
What I loved about this museum is that the staff were so friendly and helpful. I could hear the receptionist – who’s an arts graduate – have lovely conversations with visitors. And when I was leaving, she even shared with me details of this photography exhibition that was launching on the same evening!
Adult Tickets are 7 euros only!
