New Beginnings: Building a Community

I know that I haven’t been actively blogging for the past week or so. It’s because I’ve been going through things. I think it’s mainly positive changes that I’m experiencing these days. No, I haven’t met anyone special or anything like that

Building a Community

Basically, I need to invest more time and energy into building a community in the city that I live in. A community where I get to meet and interact with like-minded individuals who get me. where I can frequent the same spaces and venues. A place where I feel comfortable and completely in my element.

There’s always an excitement about novelty and randomness and my personality adores these two aspects. But when it comes to building a community and finding people who share your interests and mindset, this can be a negative thing.

Since I like experimenting with new things and working towards enhancing my life and lifestyle, I’m truly excited about the next chapter of my life. This time, I will be aiming to build my own little community and places to hangout in by simply being me.

Let me give you a better idea of what I mean; I’m already familiar with my passions, hobbies, interests and dislikes. So now all I have to do is design a lifestyle around these elements and create a routine that I can stick to.

For example, instead of working from random cafes around town, I will be searching for a co-working space or a specific café where I feel comfortable and where I can network with other like-minded individuals. No more recipe blog posts for some time I guess!

Trying New Things

I will also be trying out different sports and activities to find one that I like and can do on a regular basis – every weekend. I’m already a huge Zumba fan but I need another activity or sport for the weekends where I can meet new people and have a routine.

As for meeting new people in real life, I also need to find a certain pub or nightlife venue where I can visit with friends for after work drinks on a weekly basis. It must be a causal spot where we can be ourselves and one which allows us to meet and mingle with new people.

You might think that I’ve already tried all of the above and that didn’t lead to meeting anyone special. The truth is, I did try these ideas when I was at a different phase in life and I didn’t really find a community or space where I belong. That’s where the new lifestyle comes into place.

Don’t you all worry, because as soon as I succeed in meeting a life partner and soul companion, I will begin coaching other women and helping them in designing their best lifestyle and finding their compatible match. It’s only a matter of time, I promise!
