Living the Simple Life when Traveling

Travel Tuesday Stories

I was going through the photos from my last Bali trip and I realized that I have pictures of my favorite smoothie and gluten-free carrot cake at Drifter Surf cafe in Uluwatu. I wrote about this cafe in my last Travel Tuesday blog post and you can read it here.

I also plan to share more Uluwatu coffee shop recommendations in next week’s blog post.

So, here’s the amazing Super Buzz smoothie and gluten-free, raw carrot cake (I believe it’s raw).

The Simple Life

I don’t know about you, but when I travel I like to do nothing. Bali is a perfect destination for doing just that.

I love having no plan or agenda other than hanging out at a cafe, going for lunch, long walks at the beach and watching the most magical sunsets.

Most of my Bali days end with a stop at a grocery store. Sometimes, I go to a store in the day and get some snacks for the Balinese kids or myself. That to me, is pure bliss and unmatched peace and happiness.

What about you? How do you like to spend your vacations? Do you like to plan many activities and fill your days with plans or take things slow like me?

I’ll write another blog post about slow travel and why I’m a big fan of that movement next week.

Sometimes, just a simple visit to a mini mart brings me so much joy! I know, I’m a very simple person and I love life’s small pleasures.

If you want to get a better feel of what I’m talking about, listen to this song titled ‘Give me the Simple Life‘ by Lorez Alexandria.

I’ll keep this blog post short because the energy these days is so dense and heavy.

We’re experiencing a Mercury Retrograde, an eclipse and the last day of the Full Moon energy.

So, I hope that you’re doing OK and taking things easy on yourself.

Love,

Leela
