Happy Sunday! I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was great for the most part. I managed to review a new, authentic Italian, fine dining restaurant in Dubai Mall on Thursday.
I rarely eat at fine dining restaurants in Dubai- unless I’m meeting friends. GIA was an exception. This authentic Italian spot was worth skipping my lunch meal plan for the day. In fact, it was so good that my dad and I can’t wait to be back in winter and sit at the terrace facing the Dubai Mall fountain.
For starters, we shared the Wagyu meatballs and a scrumptious arugula and wild mushroom salad. Both dishes were served promptly after I informed the waiter of how hungry I was. For our mains, my dad had the steak which was so tender and juicy. It was served with a side of roasted potatoes and some vegetables.
Being a huge Risotto fan, I went for the tomato-based one topped with Burrata and I’m so glad that I did.
The dishes were prepared in an authentic Italian way as the head Chef at GIA Dubai Mall is from Napoli and we saw him explaining the dishes to an Italian couple at a nearby table, who couldn’t speak fluent English.
Everything about this hidden Italian fine dining gem was perfect. From the relaxed ambiance, to the fast and friendly service and delicious Italian fare.
If you happen to be at The Dubai Mall and are looking for a good place to have lunch, dinner or even a nice dessert with coffee, then don’t think twice about checking out this lovely and refreshing addition to the Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue.
