Last Travel Blog Post
If you missed last week’s travel story, it was all about the Balinese sacred offerings called ‘Canang Sari‘ and you can read that blog post here.
I spent a lot of time researching an alternative app for VSCO and I’m still looking. If you know me, I love researching everything and I won’t stop until I find something that resonates with my personality.
The story of how I manifested a talented photographer in Bali is a great example of my determination and persistence. You can read yesterday’s blog post here.
I tried using Canva after so many years of abandoning that app, because I wanted an easy way to edit my photos without an Apple App Store subscription.
For some reason, I only managed to edit one image before the saving was disabled and I couldn’t edit any more photos!
So, today’s post is mostly raw images that I took with my iPhone. I guess I’ll just keep sharing my raw photos until I find a good VSCO app alternative.
The Last Week of 2024
How did you spend the last week of 2024? How did you celebrate New Year’s Eve? How did the new year unfold for you?
In today’s post, I’ll share some highlights from my last week of 2024.
The first two photos were taken at breakfast at COMO Uma Canggu (before I got food poisoning from a Lebanese restaurant in Pererenan LOL). I’ll get to this story in a while.

The Goat Father in Canggu serves exotic coffee blends and drinks. I reviewed the coffee shop in a previous blog post and you can read it here. I went back to this cool cafe only once in this trip. I had an iced Americano without water (iced espresso basically).

The best remedy for Bali food poisoning is this ‘Magic’ drink from Remix Juice. I’ll admit that it was my first time to experience a food poisoning at the level that I did this time. The experience was so bad that I was still stick in the morning after my late afternoon meal! I spent the next few days in my COMO Uma Canggu hotel room and it was raining heavily in that week too. If you get food poisoning in Bali, just get this drink from Remix and you’ll instantly feel better. Thank me later.

The last image series are from Quickie Coffee at Petitenget Beach in Seminyak. I met my friend Ceria for a nice walk along the beach. We walked to Quickie Coffee and we finally had coffee there. We’ve been planning to go to Quickie since my last Bali trip!
Quickie coffee stand closes at 12:00 pm. It’s a great post beach walk refuel stop.
That’s it for today’s travel story. I hope that my next post will be with edited images and that I’ll find a good photo editing app that’s easy to use and accessible from my desktop.
Do you have any suggestions for a photo editor that I can access from my Macbook and that doesn’t require a subscription? I mainly want to edit the photos with a retro filter and to apply the same preset to all my photos.
Love,
Leela
