Five words: La Grotta. Montepulciano. Must. Visit.
Before my magical wellness retreat, I spent a few days exploring beautiful Tuscany.
Montepulciano is a historic town famous for its hillside vineyards and good wine.
While my tour guide, Silvia, we drove around by car taking in the stunning landscapes. We also stopped for an exquisite lunch at the legendary La Grotta.
We sat at the peaceful terrace and were transported to another era. A beautiful timeless space, where we enjoyed an authentic and perfect Italian lunch.
The tuna tartare was so fresh and divine, the pasta cooked to perfection and the desserts light, yet rich in flavor.
We paired our meal with a glass of local red wine and ended it with an espresso.
Both Silvia and I didn’t want our time at La Grotta to end. We had a lovely conversation about our shared interests of personal development and spiritual growth.
When you visit Tuscany, make sure to visit this charming Italian institution. Be sure to reserve in advance as it’s a very popular spot with both tourists and locals.
