Mental Health Awareness Week: My Take on Therapy

We’re still in the full moon energy for another two days. So if you feel depleted or are remembering old, negative memories, know that it’s normal because we’re in the Full Moon energy these days.

I personally have been experiencing vivid dreams and remembering old, negative incidents. This basically means that there are unprocessed emotions that I need to feel and not avoid.

So, if you find yourself in the same situation, try to feel your negative emotions and sit with them without judgement.

Mental Health Awareness Week

I believe it’s mental health awareness week (from May 12 to 18) and I wanted to take this as an opportunity to share my thoughts on therapy in general.

I personally never saw a therapist and I don’t know if I ever will. I don’t think that it’s because I’m against therapy as much as it’s because I don’t feel that this modality is aligned with my personality or soul essence.

I see many women post on X, asking if anyone has never been to therapy or who has found an alternative.

So if you’re also not into therapy or maybe can’t afford it, I have a solution for you.

The closest that I got to therapy is when I joined a group workshop at an Osho meditation center in Italy. We had a group exercise where we would share personal experiences that were relevant to a certain topic and while the rest of the participants listened, no one was allowed to give their opinion or comment on what the person who was sharing said.

We had this type of sharing group session at most of the healing workshops that I did at that Osho meditation center.

Another fun fact is that the energy healing work that I did at Osho Miasto in Italy is apparently equivalent to ten years or so of therapy. The energy healing modality is so intense that it’s like therapy over a decade or something.

The point of my blog post is to say that if you feel like therapy isn’t for you, then there are other healing modalities to explore. I personally came across energy healing through a random woman who I met at a Dubai food event when I was doing a journalism degree.

To cut a long story short, when you’re following your intuition and you’re open to receiving guidance, the right healing modality will show up and you will be inspired to take action and to follow your heart’s guidance.
