Entrepreneur Life
I truly love the freedom that comes with being an entrepreneur and spending my time doing what I’m passionate about.
Nothing compares to being able to design a work schedule that fits your lifestyle and makes you feel great. And because I grew up with strong discipline at home, I find it easy to create structure for my days and actually carve out time to get some work done.
You might think, so where’s the problem then? Well, the issue is that I’m not able to sell my first ebook.
Passion without strategy in entrepreneurship is pointless and ineffective.
Although I love writing and I’ve been blogging since 2012, it has been challenging to monetize my writing. I also invested a lot of talent, time and energy into my first ebook. I hired a book coach/editor and an illustrator. They were both very skilled and I’m so proud of my first book.
At first, I thought that it all comes down to marketing. But then I realized that the issue is bigger than that. It’s the lack of a business strategy and systems for my brand. At least after all these years, I have a clear idea about what I want to spend my time doing and what I want to avoid as an entrepreneur.
For example, I stopped posting to Instagram and that’s something that I stand by and I won’t change.
The good news is that there are people out there who have done this entrepreneurship thing and succeeded and are willing to support others.
This Thursday, I’m joining a live workshop for a founders’ strategy resource. I will see how it goes and if I will decide to invest in any courses in the future.
Where are you when it comes to your career life? Are you in a solid place or are you still exploring new areas?
Uluwatu, Bali
This was my second time in Uluwatu. The first was back in October of 2023 and I spent around three weeks there.
Last week’s travel story was from Seminyak and you can read it here. There’s a new spa recommendation and a list of my top coffee shops in town.
In the last two weeks and a half of my two-month Bali trip, I went to Uluwatu. I stayed at two different hotels. The first was a new, boutique (bungalow-style) hotel and the other was a Marriott property! Very different hotel categories, I know.
Ria Boutique Hotel is located in a main street in Uluwatu. It’s good value for money and it offers what you pay for basically. I will be honest and say that I only had breakfast in the first two days of my stay before deciding to eat out. I stayed there from Monday to Saturday and I was really looking forward to leaving.
Without getting into details, it’s a good hotel choice if you want to be in a central part of town and don’t want to spend much. I’ll just leave the honest review at that.
The below photo was taken at my Ria Boutique Hotel room (or bungalow). This was a powerful message from the Universe, because I was assigned to this room after the room that I originally booked had maintenance.

Where to Eat in Uluwatu
Drifter Surf Shop has a lovely cafe with a garden in the back. I had breakfast there twice and the food was always perfect. I also love their banana, cacao and Maca smoothie. I order it without dates and I pair it with a slice of gluten-free carrot cake. So simple and so good at the same time!
Here’s a photo of the omelette and it actually reminds me of something that I would make at home.

Milk and Madu is relatively new in Uluwatu and their breakfast menu is just as good as Drifter’s. I had the flat omelette and a side of sautéed spinach and roasted tomatoes. So healthy and tasty at the same time.
They have live music at Milk & Madu Uluwatu on weekends. It was great fun to spend a few hours there having breakfast and iced coffee. All while the kids (the Balinese family kids) are playing in the playground. A perfect way to start the weekend. The band even take song requests and I asked them to sing ‘Is This Love’ by Bob Marley and the Wailers and ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow‘ – which they so fabulously did.

Uluwatu’s sunsets are known to be the most magical in all of Bali and I’m so grateful that I got to witness a beautiful sunset.
If you’re looking for a relaxed spot for dinner or drinks, I recommend The Cliff Bar at Six Senses Uluwatu. I remember messaging the hotel on Instagram the first time that I visited Uluwatu in October 2023 but I didn’t really make it there.
I’m so glad that I chose to go there for sunset drinks one day and luckily, the sunset was so magical on that evening. No filters needed for this photo, only a bit of brightening.

Vegan Gelato
My favorite place for vegan ice-cream in Uluwatu is Bali Blue. They have a wide range of non-dairy ice cream flavors and they all taste amazing.
I would say that my favorite flavor is the dark chocolate, followed by the coconut one. I love visiting their gelato and coffee store that’s facing Padang Padang beach entrance.
Nothing matches having fresh, tasty vegan ice-cream while people-watching at a street cafe in Bali.
The simple life that I deeply cherish and value.
I wanted to write a blog post about this topic yesterday but my Airdrop fictionality wasn’t working. But I’ll definitely write this story on Monday because it relates to manifestation.
What’s your favorite way to spend your vacation? Do you like exploring the food and cafe culture?
Let me know in the comments!
Love,
Leela
